Deana Rankin (Royal Holloway, University of London)

Deana Rankin is lecturer in English and Drama at Royal Holloway, University of London and former Fellow of Girton College, University of Cambridge. She is author of Between Spenser and Swift: English Writing in Seventeenth-century Ireland (Cambridge, 2005) and a number of articles on drama, history-writing, republicanism and Irish writing in the early modern period. Formerly a theatre manager, she maintains close links with the Royal Shakespeare Company's education programme.
