Prometheus's Fire: Contributors

A native of County Kilkenny, Jim Cooke has worked in the Irish Times and has taught in Ringsend Technical Institute since 1968, where he is in charge of adult education.

He has written widely and lectured on local history and on education. His M Litt thesis was concerned with the history of technical education in Ireland in the 19th century.

His most recent book, "Charles Dickens's Ireland" was published in 1999. He is currently preparing a history of the Dublin Vocational Education Committee 1930-2000.
